  1. TLCFnd is a shareware program copyright 1992 by Software Engineering and 
  2. Fabrication, E408 Silver Pines, Colbert, WA,  99005-9606.
  3. The program includes:
  4. 1.  TlcFnd.exe    -- executable
  5. 2.  TlcFind.DLL   -- helper file
  6. 3.  TlcFind.HLP   -- windows help format
  7. 4.  Read-Fnd.Txt   -- this file
  8. 5.  SetUpFnd.Bat  -- installation program
  9. 6.  TLCFind.PRN -- documentation file 
  10. 7.  VBRun100.DLL -- Microsoft Run Time Library
  11.    (Note: 6 and 7) are on disks set from Software Engineering and
  12.    Fabrication after registration.  VBRun100.DLL is freely distributed
  13.    and can be found on most bulletin boards.

  15. This program may be used to search for files by name or by contents.  One
  16. may search a list of directories for a list of file types.  Additionaly,
  17. if desired on can search those files for a group of phrases.  The phrases 
  18. may be connected by the logical  Or/And combinations.
  19.  
  20. For example: One could search all subdirectories on c:\ and directory
  21. d:\Samples for any file with an extention of .txt or .doc or .MY? that
  22. contained the phrase "Hello World" Or "Good bye"  and that also contained
  23. "Blue bird" and "Paradise".  The resulting list of files would be displayed 
  24. in a list box.  One could then elect to display the text of any of those
  25. files; copy a portion or all to the clipboard and print the contents.

  27. One could check all directories for a files named Test*.* (where *
  28. will match any character(s).

  30. To install the program, run SetUpFnd with three parametes. eg
  31.                  SetUpFnd.BAT a: c:\utility c:\windows\system
  32. The first parameter is the source directory.
  33. The second paramter is the destination directory.
  34. The third paramter is a directory that is always in the path.
  35. Note: None of the directories include a trailing slash (\).

  37. To Execute the program, run TLCFnd.exe.   Windows 3.0 or better operting
  38. in STANDARD or ENHANCED mode is required.

  40. This program will not work with Windows 1.X or 2.X or any operating in
  41. real mode.
